Description


 The name (Education Sciences) is the new name, the correct scientific name, and the alternative name for the common, non-scientific nomenclature (Department of education and psychology), which originated from the Arab Mashreq. This specialty, which originated in the West, is known as (Education) and ((Educational Science). This science deals with the basic components of the educational system and the educational process, namely: educational management; educational curricula; teaching methods and educational technologies; educational measurement and evaluation; social and psychological origins of the educational process. The common translation of the concept of (Education in English) to (Department of education in Arabic) gives an inaccurate definition from the scientific point of view of this specialty for the difference in the cultural meaning of the two concepts in the two languages concerned, because the concept of (Education) in English means school education; and that the concept of (education) in Arabic means the refinement of morals, which has absolutely nothing to do with this specialty. Therefore, our department at the Libyan Academy of higher studies is honored to be the first to refer to this scientific correction; and to be a pioneer in adopting the name (Department of Education Sciences). It should be noted that everyone who holds the following scientific qualifications Master of Education, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Philosophy is a specialist in a field of Educational Sciences.

Serious contribution to the preparation of tribal and remote educators to serve the needs of learners and the needs of community institutions in accordance with its philosophy and development orientations.

Message


Preparing a competent teacher and educational administrator who is able to contribute to meeting the needs of general and higher education from professors, teachers, educational experts, researchers and administrators.

Goals


The Department pursues the following objectives:-

  1. The study of phenomena and data related to general education issues.
  2. Provide the learner with scientific knowledge that makes him stand up to the new in his field of specialization.
  3. The learner acquires cognitive and research skills, communication and communication skills.
  4. Preparing specialized national frameworks in the field of education and educational administration to meet the needs of society and its institutions.
  5. Contribute to the development of scientific and humanitarian knowledge.
  6. Study the educational curricula in Libya and their relationship to comprehensive and sustainable development.
  7. Contribute to the study and research of topics related to the development and improvement of the educational system.
